Rules of Discipline
  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance, proper dress, an earnest effort in homework assignments, and courteous behaviour in and outside school are always insisted on. In all these matters the parent's co-operation is expected at all times.
  • Pupils who are absent on the first day of any term or who are away from school for five consecutive days without permission may have their names removed from the register and will be re-admitted only if there is a vacancy. Such students may also be required to pay admission fee. In all cases of leave of absence, prior permission from the Principal should be obtained except in cases of unforeseen circumstances for which an authenticated reason should be furnished by the parent or guardian. However, granting of leave is entirely up to the discretion of the Principal.
  • The management reserves to itself the right to dismiss students who continually fail to make satisfactory progress in their studies or whose conduct is in any way detrimental to the orderly life of the school.
  • Students are strictly forbidden to introduce objectionable literature into the school or to purchase any article of food from unauthorized dealers near the school.
  • Absence from school must be supported by a leave letter from the parent or guardian of the student. Should absence on account of illness last for more than three days, the leave letter must be accompanied by a Doctor's Certificate.
  • Absentees at an examination will be considered as having failed unless it is established that their absence was due to illness.
  • Pupils are not allowed to leave the school premises without Exeat/ Permission from the Principal.
  • Deliberate damage to the school property, however small, will not be condoned. Stringent disciplinary measures will be taken against such offenders. The parents will have to bear the expenses of damaged property.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. Therefore, it is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, gold ornaments etc. to school.
  • Loitering on the way when coming to school or returning home is totally discouraged. It should be borne in mind that promptness is another distinctive characteristic of a true Sinaite.
  • Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct inside and outside the school. Hence, misbehaviour in public places and conveyance justifies dismissal, irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable moral behaviour and above all discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each a sufficient cause for dismissal.
  • On the way to and from school, students must remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet the teachers of the school when they meet them. It being understood, of course, that teachers return pupil's greetings. Thus, every pupil is expected to contribute to the high tone of the school by his/her manners and conduct.
  • No fine of any kind of cash collection for sale for any purpose what so ever may be made without the previous sanction of the Manager.
  • Giving gifts/presents to the members of the staff requires prior sanction of the Manager.
  • During the absence of the teacher from class, students must obey the Perfect or Monitor appointed to maintain good order.
  • Every pupil must take part in the physical training and games unless declared unfit on medical ground or exempted by the Principal. Boys and Girls are forbidden to join any outside sports organization without previous permission from the Principal.
  • There should be no noise in between classes. When going from one class to another, pupils must walk in a single file. Walk on the left in corridors and on staircases.
  • Pupils afflicted by infectious diseases, or exposed to such diseases in their homes must re-join after quarantine; this should be indicated in the medical certificate.
